چکیده
The objective of this study was to determine and compare leg asymmetry between preferred dominant non-dominant legs in muscular power balance among sub-elite soccer (football) players Qatar. Thirty-two professional local from the Qatar Stars League (Second Division) participated (23.1 ± 6.1 years). They were classified according their (preferred kick ball). Twenty-two had a right leg, remaining ten left leg. Countermovement jump (CMJ) used measure unilateral bilateral vertical performances. Y-balance test (YBT) assess dynamic balance. No significant differences found for CMJ flight height (p > 0.05; index (AI) = 1.83 11.46) or relative absolute reach distance derived YBT AI (relative) −0.45 9.68, (absolute) −0.60 12.3). Bilateral not any anterior, posteromedial, posterolateral reaching directions 0.05). selected football demonstrated an acceptable level symmetry These findings may prove helpful assessment evaluation talents should help develop optimize training regimes.

Differences in the Dominant and Non-Dominant Knee Valgus Angle in Junior Elite and Amateur Soccer Players after Unilateral Landing
More than 70% of all knee injuries in soccer occur in non-contact situations. It is known that increased lower limb dynamic knee valgus is associated with such situations. Little has been found out about differences in knee kinematics of the dominant (kicking) and non-dominant (supporting) leg during a single leg landing. A total of 114 male adolescent soccer players (age 14.6 ± 1.1 years) from...

15 صفحه اولInvestigation of the Relationship Between a Genetic Polymorphism in ACTN3 and Elite Sport Performance Among Iranian Soccer Players
Objectives: Polymorphisms in α-actinin-3 (ACTN3) gene are considered to be important in the genetic predisposition to human athletic performance. Most of the activities in soccer such as jumping, striking the ball, and running are considered plyometric and explosive. Performance power during such activities depends on the strength of the muscles involved. Therefore, high muscle strength i...
